Description

This fascinating and incredibly rare illusionist’s cane is one of only a handful made for 19th-century French magicians. The knife, hidden within the cane, slices right through the neck of the carved head – but the head magically remains attached to the cane! This captivating feat is accomplished with the help of a mechanism of small hooks that catch the cane’s shaft and keep the head attached as the knife slides through. The head is beautifully carved out of rich ebony wood, while the remainder of the handle is formed of carved horn. A tapered wooden shaft completes this wonderful stick.
